Region 19 Director

An Erie County Commissioner now serving his second four-year term, Old has prioritized work to strengthen the continuum of care throughout Erie County, including supporting new investments in mental health and addiction treatment and recovery services. He’s also worked to improve processes to help get foster children into adoptive homes more quickly. Born and raised in Berlin Heights, Old attended Edison High School, graduated from Bowling Green State University, and taught government, history, and current events.  Prior to his election as commissioner, Old served as a Berlin Township Trustee for eight years.
