A longtime leader in the Greater Cincinnati community, Portman currently serves as Trustee Emeritus of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center following nearly two decades as a member of the hospital’s board of trustees. Her service supporting area nonprofits extends far beyond Cincinnati Children’s, including serving on the boards of the 1PM Food Pantry and 1N5, a suicide prevention nonprofit in Cincinnati. Portman has also committed her time and talent to the English Language Learning Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Beech Acres, Cincinnati Nature Center, the Cincinnati Arts Festival, Tender Mercies and many more organizations. In recognition of her community leadership, Portman has been named “Woman of the Year” by the Cincinnati Enquirer and a “Woman of Distinction” by the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio. Portman and her husband, former United States Senator Rob Portman, reside in Terrace Park, where they raised their three children.
