ONEOHIO, MCKINLEY HALL CELEBRATE RIBBON CUTTING FOR NEW CENTER
Expanded Services and Recovery Housing Made Possible by OneOhio Grants
SPRINGFIELD, OHIO — The OneOhio Recovery Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization created to manage 55% of Ohio’s opioid settlement funds, joined local partners in Springfield on Monday, August 11, to spotlight new facilities and services designed to expand access to substance use disorder and mental health support in Clark County. Hosted by McKinley Hall, the ribbon-cutting event celebrated the grand opening of the organization’s new substance use disorder withdrawal management unit, mental health clinic, and recovery housing. The new center will offer critical behavioral health services in a safe, supportive environment, all designed to empower individuals on their recovery journey while strengthening the broader community.
These vital resources were made possible in part by more than $422,000 in grants awarded to McKinley Hall through OneOhio’s inaugural regional grant cycle. Additional project funders include: the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services; the Mental Health Recovery Board of Clark, Greene & Madison Counties; the Clark County Commission; and the City of Springfield.
“This is more than just a new facility—it’s a lifeline,” said Wendy Doolittle, CEO of McKinley Hall. “Every element of this project was designed to provide people with the support, care, and stability they need to reclaim their lives. Thanks to OneOhio, as well as our other state and local partners, we’re able to reach more individuals in crisis and offer them hope and healing.”
As part of McKinley Hall’s expanded services, the new Enhanced Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine (E-RAAM) Clinic will deliver immediate intervention and crisis care for those experiencing withdrawal. This rapid access is a key strategy in reducing both fatal and nonfatal overdoses across Clark County.
In addition, the Alive and Well Recovery Houses will provide two 8-bed homes—one for men and one for women—along with eight additional beds dedicated to withdrawal management. With 24/7 staffing, the facility ensures consistent support and structure for individuals in early recovery.
“Every person who walks through these doors brings a story and a chance for a new chapter. One recovery at a time, our state grows stronger,” said Alisha Nelson, Executive Director of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation. “Projects like this one are only the beginning. OneOhio is committed to supporting more projects like this across our state—innovative strategies that meet people where they are and help them build brighter futures.”
Clark County is part of OneOhio Region 14, which also includes Madison, Greene, Clinton, Warren, Clermont, and Butler counties. A volunteer regional board representing these counties helps guide funding decisions that meet local needs. Through OneOhio’s Grant Round #1, 18 projects in Region 14 were awarded funding to enhance prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts.
