Ted St John

Region 13 Director

As chief executive of Hope Town, Inc., a residential recovery facility in northeast Ohio, St. John is deeply aware of the problems posed by addiction and the importance of dedicated efforts to assist in people’s treatment. Guiding St. John in his efforts are experiences working at care institutions such as Glenbeigh Hospital in Ashtabula County, First Step Recovery, and New Day Recovery, and spearheading the establishment and operation of several local recovery houses. His community service experiences include stints with the Portage County Drug Task Force, the Trumbull County ASAP Coalition, the Portage County Substance Abuse Coalition, the Advisory Board for Portage County Specialty Dockets, and The Ohio Council of Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers Housing Committee. St. John has also worked as a personal trainer, national-level bodybuilder, health club owner, and successful steel sales professional. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a military policeman and is a lifelong resident of Portage County.

St. John says he has a passion for helping those in need, especially people trying to free themselves from the throes of addiction, and sees his OneOhio board membership as another way to serve.
