The Latest Updates: December 2025
Regional Grant Cycle #2 RFP Posted, Funding Inquiry Window to Open in January
On December 10, the OneOhio Recovery Foundation posted the Request for Proposal ahead of the next grant round officially launching in January. Regional Grant Cycle 2 will invest up to $45.7 million in locally driven projects across Ohio.
Building on the success of our first grant cycle, this round will support bold, evidence-supported initiatives that prevent substance use, expand access to treatment, and strengthen recovery. The process will again include regional input, independent expert review, and a strong commitment to fairness, transparency, and accountability. Our goal is to fund programs that make a measurable difference and reflect local needs, from rural prevention coalitions to urban recovery networks.
Applicants will receive clear guidance and support every step of the way. Visit OneOhioFoundation.com/Grants for updates.

Executive Director Update
As 2025 draws to a close, I’m filled with gratitude for the progress we’ve made together. This year has marked major milestones for the OneOhio Recovery Foundation, and more importantly, a year of meaningful impact in communities across our state.
Through our first round of grants, we’re investing more than $45 million in community-driven projects focused on prevention, treatment, and recovery. We’re seeing firsthand how local leadership and innovation can transform settlement dollars into life-changing outcomes for families, schools, and neighborhoods. These programs are helping mothers and children heal together, expanding access to care, and strengthening recovery networks that bring hope where it’s needed most.
We’ve also laid a strong foundation for the future by refining our grantmaking process, maintaining our focus on transparency and accountability, and investing strategically to ensure that OneOhio remains a trusted partner for generations to come.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re building on this momentum. The application window for our next regional grant cycle opens in January, with up to $45.7 million available to support a new wave of bold, evidence-supported solutions. We’ll continue listening, learning, and partnering with communities to ensure every dollar drives lasting impact.
Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we are proving that recovery is possible, and that Ohio truly heals as one.
Alisha Nelson

Grantee Spotlight: Road to Hope’s Trinity House
This fall, OneOhio joined Road to Hope Recovery Housing to celebrate the grand opening of Trinity House, a new recovery home for women with children. Funded in large part by a $650,000 OneOhio Recovery Foundation grant, Trinity House adds 102 new beds to the region’s system of care, helping close a long-standing gap in recovery housing for mothers and families in Northeast Ohio.
Located at the intersection of Lorain, Cuyahoga, and Medina counties, the facility offers a safe, modern environment designed to help families heal together and rebuild their lives.
“OneOhio is proud to support Road to Hope in expanding access to safe, dignified recovery housing for hundreds of individuals and families across Northeast Ohio,” said Alisha Nelson, Executive Director of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation. “To the mothers with children who are working toward recovery, this is not just a home; it’s a lifeline that strengthens families and futures.”
